In May 2009, the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB®), the most reputable and largest global non-profit organization in software testing operating in over 40 countries, has approved SECC application to establish an Egyptian Software Testing Board (ESTB). The Board aims at standing as a body that certifies and accredits software-testing practices in accordance with the ISTQB® qualifications.
In 2017, SECC became an Accredited Training Organization to offer ITIL® Foundation and ITIL® Practitioner. This accreditation comes as a transition since AXELOS has selected PeopleCert® as the Single Examination Institute for the delivery of Accreditation and Examination services worldwide. PEOPLECERT is a global leader headquartered in Greece and specialized in assessment and certification of professional skills, collaborating with multinational organizations and government bodies for the development and delivery of standardized exams. Delivering exams across 160 countries and in 25 languages over its state-of-the-art assessment technology, PEOPLECERT enables professionals to boost their careers and realize their life ambitions.
In 2015, APMG-International accredited SECC as COBIT® 5 Accredited Training Organization, to deliver COBIT® 5 Foundation Level Training and Certification. COBIT® 5 is a framework for IT Governance developed by the reputable ISACA organization which selected APMG International to be its Examination Institute. APMG accredits professional training and consulting organizations and manages certification schemes for knowledge-based workers.
SECC is a strategic partner to the CMMI Institute, LLC in the Middle East region, possessing a number of qualified instructors and lead appraisers with a hands-on experience of process improvement. The CMMI® Institute, LLC is the home of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®). The Institute supports the worldwide adoption of its technologies in small and large organizations alike in a variety of industries, including aerospace, finance, health services, software, defense, transportation and telecommunications. It licenses its products and services through a network of delivery partners.
In October 2015, the Open Group Accredited certified that TOGAF® certifications provided by SECC are Accredited TOGAF Training Courses and adhere to TOGAF® accreditation requirements in the Open Group. The Open Group is a global consortium that enables the achievement of business objectives through IT standards. With over 500 member organizations, they have a diverse membership that spans over all sectors of the IT community: customers, systems and solutions suppliers, tool vendors, integrators and consultants, as well as academics and researchers.
SECC has successfully passed a three-stage assessment process to join the ODI global network, headquartered in London, as "Cairo Node". It is the first ODI node in Africa to offer training programs, workshops, and events that promote and enable value creation through open data in Egypt. The ODI is a non-profit organization founded by Sirs Tim Berners-Lee and Nigel Shadbolt in the UK to catalyze the evolution of Open Data culture to create economic, environmental and social value. ODI has a global network of more than 20 country members among which are USA, Canada, Italy, France, Sweden, Russia, South Korea, Brazil, Argentine, Australia, Japan and the UAE.
