In October 2013, SECC participated at GITEX Dubai with the aim of exporting its expertise and services to the Gulf region.

GITEX Dubai was an excellent opportunity for introducing SECC to the Gulf market, especially that a large number of companies and authorities in this particular region have shown interest in cooperating with SECC. RECOCAPE Second Exploitation Cluster Project Ends Successfully

October 2013 witnessed the end of the second RECOCAPE Exploitation Cluster Project that was held with Memphis Tours Business Intelligence Department. Memphis Tours is a well-established tour operator that provides high-quality tourism services. The business intelligence department scope of work includes building and maintaining company's website and web-based ERP system as well as web applications for analyzing customers' profiles and customizing tours for them.

By adding semantic technologies to their pool of knowledge, the company will be able to increase business opportunities by enhancing online and e-commerce services. This can be achieved by automating the customer profile analysis process to provide the customers with offers that are more relevant to their interests. Moreover, empowering the website with semantic technologies will increase the rank of the website and will attract greater attention by adding richer and more relevant content. Consequently, SECC team provided the company with both theoretical and practical experience in semantic web technologies. This was executed through empowering the RECOCAPE website with semantic technologies to transfer the knowledge to Memphis to be able to apply on the company's own website.

This project comes as one in a series of projects through which SECC promotes state-of-the-art technologies to the Egyptian ICT market.
